inclusive medicine

a safe, comfortable environment.

We are committed to personalized healthcare.

We will treat you with respect, use your pronouns, address you by your preferred name, and remain judgment free.

We work to actively reduce disparities in the LBGTQ+ community.

Many of our patients have experienced cognitive bias in healthcare.  Some have said they have been offended or uncomfortable at a provider's office. We are a safe place for our patients.

Why quality healthcare is important:

-Lesbians are less likely to get preventive services for cancer.

-Gay men are at higher risk of HIV and other STDs, especially among communities of color.

-Lesbians and bisexual females are more likely to be overweight or obese.

-Transgender individuals have a high prevalence of HIV/STDs, victimization, mental health issues, and suicide and are less likely to have health insurance than heterosexual or LGB individuals.

-Elderly LGBT individuals face additional barriers to health because of isolation and a lack of social services and culturally competent providers.

-LGBT populations have the highest rates of tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use  Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Health | Healthy People 2020

-Our providers are happy to meet with other healthcare providers or present at events on the importance of inclusion in healthcare. Contact our clinic for more information.
