Patients in recovery from addiction have often had negative experiences with health care professionals and can be very sensitive to a judgmental or nonsupportive attitude. Many patients are reluctant to speak to their provider about their recovery. Some providers lack familiarity with recovery, which reinforces this reluctance.
We play a pivotal role in recovery by celebrating milestones with you, offer a nonjudgmental environment, and work with your entire health care team.
Primary care has more interaction and contact with patients than other health care professionals.
We also offer mental health medication management for anxiety, depression, bipolar, ADHD and bipolar.
We do not offer medication assisted substance abuse therapies like suboxone but we can refer you to the appropriate providers.
Our providers are open and willing to meet with other providers to discuss how to decrease disparities in this patient population. We offer lectures as well. Please contact our clinic for information.
